BII 302 Tranny Questions

Before people give me grief I searched.. its all just so confusing lol

I have a BII w/302 and a M50D mated to a BW1356 now this thing is WAY to long and wide... I want to install a shorter manual tranny as simply as possible so any suggestions would be great

I was thinking the NP435 mated to a NP205 from what I can figure those came in 1975 to 1982 F-series correct? do I need to swap my flywheel? will a flywheel from a donor vehicle always work?(like if I had an entire F-series truck w the NP435/205 do I just use the flywheel on the truck?) whats the shortest bell housing available? also if the donor vehicle ends up being a 6cyl would a flywheel from a 6cyl work on the 302?

Oh and whats easiest way to deal with clutch? currently on the M50D i used the stock BII master and used a compression fitting to splice the Hydrolic lines together

I know lots of questions and I have just spent the last 5hours reading stuff and am still confused... also availability of parts/price is a factor the np435 seems readily available what other t-cases mate directly/easily?

also the reason I am doing this now is because I just blew my rear drive shaft and a month ago the front took a nasty hit so I have to replace my drive shafts anyhow so I figured its a good time to get a better setup under there

your flywheel will work with the NP435, but it will work better if you get the hydro bell housing. I am installing a NP435/205 combo in my f100 if you want me to give you a measurment. I think the bell housngs are the same but you might want to check on the starter location just to make sure. also the low range of the 205 is only 2:1 so you will loose there and the NP435 dosen't have OD.

find a 84 ta 87 F150 and get the hyd bell from it. it has the external slave. then the 435/205 will fit right in. the 205 is the same width as the 1350.

Got Paypal?
How much does it weigh?(so I can check shipping)
ZipCode?
come with the bellhousing?
Was it in use? or Unknown Condition?

175lbs shipped UPS freight would be $650 USD lol

I ship stuff across Canada(2700miles) all the time for $40 CDN for 120lbs/pallet Ill check into it later to see if I can find a decent freight company for the U.S. :p
