fuel gauge problem???

fuel gauge problem???

On my 86 Bronco II my fuel guage isnt working.the owner before me changed the fuel pumps and one wasnt even plugged in so i was thinking he forgot to plug in the sending unit.Is there anyway to check if the unit is plugged in without dropping the tank?????

Ok, It's a pain in the tail if you're tall but it can be done. You can Put the truck up on ramps or jackstands, face towards the gas tank, and you can actually sit up under the truck on the side that doesn't have the exhaust and see... not the most comfortable thing in the world to do but it can be done.
