Bronco II Front Frame Width

Post by CastIron178 »

So I', very new to the world of the Bronco II. But I was trying to get some info.

I'm looking to find a whole vehicle to use to convert my 1962 Ford Ranchero into a 4x4. Yes, it's hillbilly. Yes, it's unnecessary. And yes, that's exactly why I want to do it. Don't feel bad- I bought it as a gutted shell from a guy who does nothing but drag raced vintage MoPar's. It was never going back to original anyway.

So here is my dilemma- I have no idea how wide a Bronco II's frames are from framerail to framerail. I need the whole front suspension and steering setup. And a first gen Falcon/ Ranchero doesn't run a full frame. Stupid unibody just has @ a 2' section of frame that sticks out of the body from the base of the firewall. I just want to see how complicated this might be, and if it's even feasible.

I would really appreciate any info!
