Bolts breaking

Post by eddie t »

I have a 88 Bronco ll with the 2.9. The passangers side exhaust manifold is leaking and when I went to remove the bolts holding it on they all broke. Now I used liquid wrench for a week before but it did not help, I had this same problem with the water pump bolts but I was able to back them out. I am having no such luck on the exhaust bolts . Any ideas would be appreciated. Also I was amazed to find that the exhaust header did not use gaskets and one bolt had broken on its own and was causing the leak.
