Bad Noise , Drivetrain Maybe?

Post by u305571 »

I have a newly acquired 86 bronco II , Just lifted 4 inch suspension , 3 inch body and now have a serious Clak, Clak , Clak noise only when I drive. In 4x2 and 4x4 . the 4x4 is engaging and the u bolts on the vehicle appear intact . NOTE the truck didn't do this prior to the lift . Any thoghts , thanks Jason :usa:

Do you still have the stock tulip style driveline? Any lift over 2 inches and you have to change the driveline.

I ordered mine through a local shop and custom it ran about 350 bucks, with a lifetime warranty!

Ok , is the entire driveshaft to be changed out for a new one with a different angle ? is the replacement part , only the shaft itself or do the interiors get swapped out as well? Jason :usa:

For me it was a whole new driveline. Throw away that tulip style it's junk.
