Fuel Gauge

Post by Willie Two »

my 84 B2 has an inaccurate fuel gauge, mostly not working at all but it does make the needle move on the rare occasion. Does anyone have some past experience on this before I pull the sending unit out of the tank ??????? hate to do that if there is another common problem to check first. Many thanks to all

you should be able to check the guage by grounding one of the wires to the tank and see if the guage works. if the guage works tehn its prolly the sending unit. which sux cuz its attatched to teh fuel pump so you have to buy a new fuel pump.
