I have a 1992 Explorer SPORT sitting out front ,I can strip before it goes to the heap. And the '88 BII I have needs stiffer springs.
I wanted the rear springs, but I seem to remember reading someone saying the Sport's springs are different ... lighter than the 4 door.
The facts:
- my BII has five 5/16" thick leafs ... a total of about 1 1/2" thick spring stack.
- the "Sport" has three leafs. two about 3/8" thick and a real thick short third one.
Is this, in fact what I want?
A 4 door Explorer has what kind of leaf spring stack?
