would the 5 speed tranny offer any more pickup at cruising speed i currently am running the 2.8 4-speed and once in 4th gear and at highway speed to fast to downshift and when needing to pass or the the hell out of the crazy truckers way when i punch it i get nothing just wondering if this would give me power at the higher speeds and not sacrafice low end torque

Have to do some more checking and remove the info I posted. I read one chart wrong and cannont confirm information I have from another source.

Actually, 4th gear is overdriven in the 4-speeds, not 1 to 1.
I'm not sure, but I don't think there is a 1 to 1 ratio in the 4-speed transmissions.

I would like to find a break down of the actual ratios.
