I'm wondering how much suspension lift could be done with minimal impact on street manners. Could 1" or mayby 2" of lift by spring stiffening or preloading be gotten without any adverse alignment/ tire wear or drivetrain effects?
Something like: http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Prod ... 54/c-10614
.... up front? Stock hardware might bring camber back in.

They're cheap enough. Do they give the lift they claim? Dave
Modest suspension lift
Ok, I looked at the front end suspension. The threaded stud that holds the bottom of the coil spring to the axle looks to have abouit 1" extra thread on it. How about slipping a 1" spacer in there. Would'nt that be a cheap easy way to raise the front-end some?
And a 1" spacer slipped between the rear axle and the leaf spring stack would level the truck back up., right? Dave

honestly I am not a big fan of spacers. yes, you could get some lift and probably still stay in alignment but you are not realy gaining any performance over the stock stuff. are you just trying to get some larger tires in there?

you should be able to fit 31's on there stock. the little bit of trimming isn't as much as you think, if you have to do it. for some reason some people have to trim and some people don't...
