Eletrical problems

Post by Fishtank »

Yea, lets see Horn, dash lights, shifter lights, and oil pressure and ect. lights dont work. Is it porbally just fuses i havent had time to check it out yet, but if its not how hard would it be to re wire all of those. My horn did work at once, and my blinkers are the only lights that work on the inside.

Check all of your fuses first. Then I would look at the conncetor at the bottom of the steering column. This connector has been the cause of many electrical problems in the RBV's.

If that checks out then remove the dash cluster and change out the little voltage regulator on the back of the instrument panel.

One last note is to look around and see if any of the fusable links are burnt.

Oh yeah be sure to count your blessings. You could be working on something English with Lucas Electrics (The Prince of darkness) Now that is a bitch..

Happy arcing and sparking!!
