East side wheelin'

....Washington that is. Finally got out of the office and behind the wheel for a bit last weekend. A friend of mine from the tri cities was breaking in his front locker in his STX so we showed him around. Found out that he really needs to ditch his swaybars if he doesnt want passengers keeping his t...

You can pull a factory l/s carrier from a XJ rear d35 and use it in your front d35. Thats usually the cheapest way to get it.

Yep. $135 for any motor in the yard and theres like 12 4.0s out there at the moment. I live about 5 mins from Spaldings and pull and save. I dont know if I will be able to help you out, it would depend on when you plan on coming up here.

A4LD,Auto 1350, and auto hubs are the three worst things you can have in a b2. That tranny is gone, when they start slipping, start looking for a new one. Those things go out monthly. Can he prove its 97,671 and not 197,671? If your just looking for a project and the motor is in good shape with no c...

Do you all think it would be worth it to rebuild it? no. If the block got hot the walls and decks are probably all over the place, and there might be some cracks the wont be apparent until you get it in and running. Where are you located at? If you are close to any pull and save type yards you can ...

Even with a 435, 17.37 to the diff is sooo much nicer than 13.09. With 4.56 gears your looking at 79.2 low compared to 59.69 low and 50 less pounds. All this will change when jb stops being ghey and makes a ford lomax. Ive been waiting for 2 years.... :mad2:

the 205 is much smaller than a 1356. It will fit in the frame rails of a RBV without any clearancing. The downsides are the weight and the crappy liow range. You can run a 208 that will just bearly fit if you shave a little off the edge and it will give you a 2.61:1 instead of a crappy 1.96:1 and ha...

Its not hard but it will take a few hours and you need to pull the gas tank to get at the back bolts. You also have to pull the seats and carpet to get at them. I think PA is about the cheapest. You can try ebay as well.

I just had a pair of 4 door expo springs and ext cab ranger springs but I sold them both. The expo springs were noticeably thicker gauge than the extended cab springs so I suspect they would give a bit more lift. I dont think there is a difference between '93 and up and pre '93 extended cab springs....

The ranger spring pads are an inch wider and is also offset to allow clearance for the gas tank while the b2 is centered. The ranger 8.8 diff is really no stronger than a 7.5 because the r&p pretty much never fail. Its almost always the axles or the outer bearings which are the same size between...

do it!

The exaust will be fun and you may have to swap in a smaller steering shaft, but other than that it will be no differnet than any v8 swap.

Someone might have pulled the carrier for a T/L or spare or something before they sold it to you and then just bolted everything back up to look fine. I have heard of worse. If you hear no noise I doubt it a r&p or spider problem as they tend to make alot of noise if they are trashed. I guess th...
