sad day today... will this work as a fix?
driving home from work today, the car in front of me on the highway lost controll and spun round towards me. i went into the barditch to find out that there was a man hole elevated about 2feet above the ground. i landed directly on top of it. everyone was okay, the woman (who was on her phone and lo...

Re: New to broncos, LandCruiser guy..
hey man, good to have ya on here! from my experience so far, the driveshafts on my 87 have held up very well actually. the rear and front axles are decent on the bii, the ford 7.5 and the dana 28. but with larger tires they dont seem to hold up very long. i shot the teeth of the ring gear through th...

Re: Weird noise coming from front wheels?
i guess it would depend on where you buy from. i got mine at Oreilly's atuo parts when i rebuilt my front end for around 8-12 dollars. they can be an ass to replace sometimes, its easiest to just pull both axles out of the diff and then take the joints out and replace, the lock rings are a pain to g...

Re: Weird noise coming from front wheels?
your most likely correct, but here's a few other possibilities. u should be able to tell if its the Ujoint by grabbin hold of it and giving it a good twist or shake. to keep it from getting worse= replace it. take the wheel off and make sure the rings and locks that hold the rotor on are all tight. ...

Re: hmmm... did i miss something?
Can someone post a picture. Sorry internets out at the new appt, so I'm on my phone. Ford had no clue what I was talking about like usual. Then tried to tell me that ford dosent make parts for the 87 anymore... So if I had a pic it would help. Thanks all.

hmmm... did i miss something?
Ok. I finished the tranny rebuild and got the bii all back together. All the tranny stuff went back in great! Had to replace battery cables to get it to start:/ The shifting is very loose. Loose in all gears. But dosent fall out of gear. I'm thinking I need to replace the bushing on the shifter? Or ...
