The Hero2 also uses the LCD BacPac, but it's really only needed for video playback. The front LCD is only for the menu system. The Wi-Fi BacPac isn't out yet and is only fully supported on the Hero2.

They say it's 2x better in every way. I believe the old one didn't have the LCD screen on the the front so you had to decode a bunch of beeps and such to know what mode you were in. I'm leaning toward the ignition switch as well. Turn the key to the run position and see if you have power at the coil.

I haven't had a Bronco II for several years now. Hopefully one of the other members can post a pic for you.

I do believe the studs are for a heat shield, dipstick, etc. Go down to Chula Vista, those yards should be full of broncos. The studs don't have to come from broncos, they are used in all sorts of vehicles.
