Re: What did you do with your Bronco II today?

Now I need another one to get a good interior for the red truck;) I stripped the excess electrical out of one truck today, gettin ready to install the duraspark conversion, havent heard the truck run yet because the original wiring has been butchered so...

Re: What did you do with your Bronco II today?

Thx, I just put 4 new Kenda tires on it so I had to test them out and check for clearances. Still a couple things left to do on it before it goes into the paint booth, it will be done in Cockshutt colors because my Pop ran a dealership back when I was a kid and thats where I first turned a wrench. T...

Re: What did you do with your Bronco II today?

Never made much progress on the B2 this weekend, got busy with moving snow and swapping tires on a garden tractor. When the truck was up on the hoist friday we found one bad ujoint on the right front hub but otherwise everything underside looks good. Found two more trucks this weekend I might pickup...

Re: What did you do with your Bronco II today?

Picked up everything for the duraspark conversion today, all new parts, $825. Getting the wheels balanced and a safety inspection right now, I dont expect it to pass but it will let me know what needs to be worked on next. I drove it to work all week without any surprises, about 250km, other than th...

Re: What did you do with your Bronco II today?

Ya somebody else pre-bent the bumper... and the front fenders, and the grill. Plus the hood has been up over the roof at some point... not sure if that was before... during... or after the damage on the front end. Lol Its not as bad as it looks, drives straight, and pretty quiet. It will make a good...

Re: What did you do with your Bronco II today?

Drove the '84 into town and then to work, 70km round trip, still shakes above 100kph so have to look into that, but otherwise went well, heater only works on high so the resistor is done, no backup lights, lots of small issues but for the price I can deal with those:)

Re: What did you do with your Bronco II today?

Turned out the rad wasnt flowing much so I swapped it out , did a little body work on the front right and replaced the broken signal light, got the mockup bumper mounted, replaced the broken grill... almost looks like a B2 now. Eventually I'll probabably put new fenders on it but for now I want to g...

Re: What did you do with your Bronco II today?

Re: broken t-case

Even if one hub was locked it wouldnt turn the front diff so I doubt it caused of the problem here... and these t cases are tough... takes alot to break them.

Re: broken t-case

Doesnt sound very likely, the shock would have to tranfer from the hub, thru the axle shaft, the front diff, and the front drive shaft before reaching the transfer case. Unless both hubs were to lock at the same time any shock would be absorbed by the front diff. Have you removed the hubs to look fo...
