why are valve covers such a pain i did my gaskets today and took me forever couldent ford find a better place to run all those wires and heater core hoses than right on top of the valve cover but i did get it done and now i am no longer leaking oil

havent looked at anything yet but on way to shcool this morning ran like a top but as soon as i let off the gas it would die even after it was warmed up throw your suggestions at me like i said i havent even popped the hood its the 84 with a 2.8 carburated with a 4 speed
