Re: useing taps and reamer question?
Using oil is good, also use the right drill for the tap, there are alot of tap drill charts online. Re: Lost 4WD?? Help
I would have somebody see if your rear drive shaft is turningwhile in gear. My pinion yoke stripped the spline and it would not move, just make a grinding noise. All I had to do was replace the yoke from Ford.

Re: Better gas mileage?
Synthetic oil in your engine and differentials will help, I'm not sure about it in an auto tranny or any tranny as far as that goes. Make sure your tires are the right size and are inflated properly. A k&n or similar type air filter is SUPPOSE to help with fuel mileage. This may sound stupid but...

So I rolled over on the air ratchet and dam near shit my...

With 33's I would go with 4:10's or 4:11's I can't remember which one ford put in the rangers. But going from 3:73's to 4:88 seems a little much to me.

Re: 5.0 Install
Have you done a load test on the battery? an engine that starts quick does not draw a lot on the battery, but when you crank a bit, a bad battery will show it's flaws.
