I have both sides on now. The alignment is really off so it would be hard to measure. I did take the spare GM spindle and 44 TTB hub and place it next to a 35 spindle and hub/rotor. Looks like the 44 is 9/16" farther out. That is without a lock out on the 35. So subtract 1/4" to 5/16"...

Not sure on the width as the passangers side is not done yet. Maybe tomorrow night. I do plan on replacing the master cylinder. I'm going to try to add some pic's comparing the old 35 parts next to the 44 parts and part numbers on the new parts I installed.

Seems to me the rear 8.8 axle is said to have a large enough wheel mounting surface to drill it for the 5 on 5.5 pattern. Or you could go with a 1/2 ton full width rear 8.8 or 9". The 35 uses the same axle u-joints as the 44. You would have to have special inner axles made for the 28 and the kn...

I don't weld so I'd have to have it done. The machine shop that drilled the knuckle does welding but didn't want to weld it for some reason. So I just cut the plugs and used the JB to hold them in. I had read over the past few years about the 44 TTB knuckle install on the 35 TTB. But there were ques...

44 outers on the 35 TTB (my way)

Well this is what I have so far.

http://www.mappyjack.com/Dana44.htm

Basicly I used the 35 TTB knuckle. The 75 up GM brakes. And the 76-86 Bronco hub and rotor.

Well if you change your mind let me know. The first week is going to be a kind of kick back drive around week. Just going to see some sights and try to stay away from town as much as possible. The second week would be very hard on a stock DD. Take care Jason and if you can't make this one I should b...

Utah Wheeling

Looks like I'll be out in Utah from April 8th through the 23rd. The 8th through the 16th is the Heep Easter Safari. I don't want to spend much time near Moab during that. The first week I'll be North and West of Lake Powell. I primitive camp out in the desert and we'll travel around to places like H...

I've measured the axles at full drop and get right at 26" front and back so the 26.8" Pro Comp max. lenth is just about perfect. Haven't welded the towers on the front yet or the brackets on the rear axle tube. So I have a little room for adjustment. Thanks for the info on the tab locatio...

Those might work. I could move the F-250 shock mounts up another inch in the front and weld the rear a inch or so lower and go with the 28" shocks. I was going to try to mount the rear shocks at the centerline of the rear axle but an inch or so shouldn't make much difference. Man an extra 2-3 h...

This is my project that has been two years in the works. As I said it came to me as a 2wd stock truck. It 's been setting in a garage waiting for parts to become available. Christmas was pretty good and I want to try to get it on the street by spring. I bought the Skyjacker lift a few parts at a tim...

Should have given a little more info. It will be a daily driver and see a bunch of trail driving. I'll drive it from KS to Colorado and Utah to wheel. I like my stuff and don't like to break. So I go slow and easy. The BII is an 88 that started out as a 2wd with an A4LD. It now has a C-5 built to c-...

What size and where was the radiator located? What engine mounts were you using? As I said ...

Still some places in Utah to go. Colorado had a dry spell and folks didn't go but it was wet this year and folks are back out.

Sounds like we need to get a trip planned to Utah. Hole-In-The-Rock?
