the center section is offest the pinion is almost perfectly center...or should be...not sure about yours cuz its really old.. they changed them up in 67. 67+ is the better axle.

yep....my shocks were way to long in the back with the tabs how Nobodys are, i took out my gas tank, put in a fuel cell. and i made a shock hoop in my bed..they both come out backwards through the bed.

you want to fully compress your axle and then full extend...take measurements and get a shock with close to ur Articuation. also...it will be more forgiving with this because you have to fab front mounts anyways...depending what springs you use id suggest at 12.5 or a 14".. i personally run 14 ...

it was really really close and the driver one did get dinged..nothing major..like maybe a 1/16th of an inch...so i took my grinder and ground off about 1/4" on the arm..now they clear no problem on extension

arm isnt upside down though...i ground off the rivets and fliped it.

well...i put on another bumper...finished the chop..and shock mounts and put back on the stablizer and put on the power steering then we were driving around and seen some guys in a fullsize ford and chevy...driving on this ramp..and we stoped..and they didnt think i could make it to the top..so i ga...

no front shocks, offcenter axle, bend drag link....i d idnt care..i had to go run through the mud

it will stay in the shop the next few days though.

well...im going to put in an internal 4pt...and im going to somehow incorperate the hatch into the back...cut the edges off and fit it in..something...but i want it removable. it looks VERY doable so i think ill just take alot of time measuring and then cut up the hatch and see what happens...if i m...

now im thinking...maybe i can leave out the metal portion..and graft half of the hatch into the choped area...use sealant foam or something....ill figure it out. i just want a back window that doesnt have big air leaks around it.

well i c hecked that out matt and it somewhat helped...but im still not understanding what exactly he did...did he just bring the 2 metal peices seperated by the window together and weld them? or is there extra metal?
