The Jimmy has brand new 31's right now and I would like to put them on the bronco for a weekend toy. What size lift do I need? Also, Right now the BII gets about 12-13mpg. What will I be...

stock gears in my B2?
I have a 89 BII and I need to know the stock gearings. Im trying to make a fuel efficient biodiesel trail rig. I have a rear with 3.07 and im curious what the stock gears are. I may keep the 3.07 if its lower.

Re: Do Dana 44 sas just bolt right up?
Ok, well whats so special about the EB D44's? I know someone who has about 4 of which he claims are D44's from old Jeep cherokees and such.

Re: heater core
It should be very easy. It will take a decent amount of patients. Dashboards can sometimes be tricky to take out. Lots of hidden screws so look carefully.

Re: Do Dana 44 sas just bolt right up?
So the coil/shock buckets line up fine. The rest are small mods and fabbing brackets? Its the same way with all D44 or only the early bronco ones?

Do Dana 44 sas just bolt right up?
I dont remember where I saw the article, but other then steering and radius arm brackets, the guy just claimed that the coils and shocks just dropped right into place....
Is this correct? If so, is it on all D44 front axles or only a few?

Re: Will this fit?
I dont think it will work without fender trimming. Ive seen pictures of 4" lift on 33's and they would definately rub with any amount of flex. I think 31's with your 3" lift would be ideal, Unless you dont mind trimming.

Re: Detroit Locker Input Wanted
I plan on running a mini spool up front and a stock non-posi unit in the rear on mine. I plan to keep mine road worthy also and dont want the tire wear. The spool up front will help ATON with off roading. Should suit my light off roading really nice.

Re: Quick suspension question
The leaf springs from explorers are stiffer which will come in handy while towing the trailer. To fit 31" tires, just put 2" coil spacers in the front and 2" shackles or blocks in the back.

Re: Quick suspension question
Explorer leaf springs from a junk yard would be the easiest and cheapest route. They are a little stiffer and they add about 1.5-2" of lift so it will help level it out with the trailer.

Making good progress! What type of axles do you plan to run under it? Future engine swap in mind?

Re: leaf setup?
jJust invisioning it, I think the flex will be limited if the leafs arent parallel to one another. If I were going to put them on anyway, I would atleast fab something so they wouldnt be 2.5" off. a Little less would be better I suppose.
