Re: SAS turn radius
You were correct about the GM 12 bolt and on the cheap. However, I have changed my mind about both. After making the brackets for disk conversion, I realized it would be a better choice to do an explorer 8.8 swap and ride on the stock 3.73's for a while. The explorer 8.8 is also a bit stronger then ...

Re: SAS turn radius
Also, Is D44 the smallest straight axle? Im trying to avoid the TTB setup. Ive read that explorer 8.8's are 58.5" wide, how wide are the Dana 44's? What are they most common on?

Re: SAS turn radius
Is this because you made your own longer steering arms with the crossover setup or it doesnt work that way?

SAS turn radius
I am wanting to put a Dana 35 or 44 SAS on the front of my 89 but dont want to lose my turing radius. I LOVE that I can turn around on a two way street and go the other direction lol. Can this be fixed or I have to lose the steering for the SAS?

Re: Problem with Bronco II Tailgate
I used a rubber hose(left over fuel line), cut it sideways to make a "C" shape, and put it over the bolts that the hatch locks to. Stopped every bit of rattleing because it filled in the extra space where the locks werent clamping enough.

Re: 84 BII rear hatch handle?
Mine did this same problem and it ended up being a very easy fix. Take off the interior hatch plastic and have someone turn the handle whil eyou watch how it works. You will notice that there is a small metal rod that is supposed to hit something but it doesnt or its on the wrong side of the latch. ...

Re: Another axle question
Great! Thanks!. You wouldnt happen to know the stock rim back spacing would you? Im keeping stock rims. Im sure glad I dont have to find more parts. My goal was to make this build as dirt cheap as possible. people have givin me a 8.87" GM rear end, leaf spring perches, Mustang GT rotors and cal...

Re: Another axle question
Im not talking about a stock front axle and this half ton rear. Im talking about the rear and a D44 full width to match. Just wondering if its going to look to rugged, will the tires stick out to far for the look im wanting or will it look like a factory trail rig?

Another axle question
I started gathering parts for the SAS and rear axle swaps. I have an old GM 12 bolt rear with mustang rotors for disk conversion. This axle is about 10 inches wider then the stock BII axle. The main look im going for it a stock looking truck that should have died a long time ago but was kept up with...

Re: '89 BII 2.9 lifter-tick at cold startup.
I purchased a dailey driver and only drove my Bronco once a week until I start working on it. Its been about 4 months and is now doing what you are describing. I know its because it doesnt get driven enough. It goes away after I rev and warm it up a bit. I plan on finishing my suspension first and w...

Re: 1988 bronco11, bad gas milege
my 2.9L gets about 11-12mpg on a good day. Always has since we have owned it. In a few weeks I am going to replace the O2 sensor, plugs, wires, and cold air intake. See if I cant pull out 15mpg (I doubt it...)

Re: Clearence for 31's
How well do you think the stock axles(with 4.10's) would hold up to 31" tires and a 302 swap?
