Re: D44 length info
the early bronco axles are close to stock width like clem said. the 78,79 bronco dana 44 is a full size axle and will stick out allot. the axles you have seen may or maynot have been a eb, the rims have allot to do with the apperance. with no back spacing a full 44 can look like a eb 44 with full ba...

Re: No 4low plz help
the fact that it was swapped from auto to manual shouldn't matter a whole lot except if the auto tranny harness has the t-case wires in it. did you change all the harnesses? if not locate the connector that used to go to the trans and match the wires to it to the wires in the wire manual, then simpl...

any thing is possible. go the wrecking yard and measure from rotor to rotor, i would not go any narrower than the stock bii because it is already a little unsteady in its stock form. also look at the pumkin and make sure it has a drivers side drop, if not it will not work.

Re: tie rod ? stock 84BII 4x4
jearking on a tire either front to back or top to bottom you will and should always have just a touch of play, this is the bearing cage letting the rollers mover around. it should me no more than a couple thousands of an inch, but you feel a little like a tiny pop. the best way i found to check a ti...

i looked at the add, and can't figure out something, it says nothing about springs, track bar, radius arms, so to me sounds like a bracket kit with some extras. without a axle included you do this swap a ton cheaper doing some research and looking around.

Re: 88 BII will not stay running
look at the chilton and find the wires that go to the injectors from the eec. its like a 72 pin plug. from this connector find the ground for the injectors. disconnect each injector and put a jumper wire to connect the two pins then using a ohm meter check to make sure there is not a open or short i...

Re: need transmission?
from what little info you gave, i would suspect the valve body is bad. if each gear holds but will not shift it sounds like the fluid is not porting to slide the drives. a suggestion would be try changine the filter and fluid, if that doesnt work then rebuild the valve body

while i was there Broncomom decided to put more fluid in it. when i got back she told me, so i took as much out as i could. this is what you wrote, so i am assuming that she saw it needed more fluid and added as needed, then you tried to empty some out. a hydraulic system works off of fluid pressure...

Re: ok this time it got bad...
tekatlarge 100% correct. tach not working has nothing to do with your problem. won't go into gear because clutch fork not moving enough clutch slips- because fluid on clutch disk smoke is from leaking clutch resevior or slave cylinder leaking on exhaut manifold. why in the world would you ever take ...
