Re: Engine chocking when accelerating
If you used motorcraft plugs (highly recomended) they are available in the correct gap(.044) and shouldnt need re gapping. I know you said you checked everything but did you really check EVERYTHING? torque on plugs Cap on tight all plug wires snapped on all the way wires not touching exhaust manifol...

The pitman arm doesnt go bad on these. the ball and socket joint is on the passenger inner tie rod. the pitman arm just has a hole in it. Dont think you can wear out the hole. haha

I bought some mile marker hubs about 12 years ago and they still work great. be careful not to snap the knob off though.

Re: wont start, need help
the fact that it shuts off for a couple min makes me think of the circuit breakers in the fuse box. i dont remember what they are for off the top of my head but if they are for the ignition/starter, and you have a short in the starter wire it would act like that.

Here's an old video me in my b2 going up against a jeep cherokee. Sorry about the weird music, it seemed funny at the time. It got me tons of hate comments from jeep owners.

Re: bronco is not wanting to stay running...
sounds like a problem with the idle air control.it is the thing bolted to the passenger side of the intake manifold. try taking it off and looking inside while someone cycles the key on and off to see if it moves. if not try blasting it out with carburetor cleanerand move the valve a little with you...

Re: picture uploading
I have been trying to attach an image file to a post and I'm running into trouble. When I click upload a pop up says the image is uploading and just sits there forever. When I close the popup the page behind it says the image file I tried to upload is invalid. The image I was trying to upload was a ...

Re: Brakes build too much pressure
it's not really a fix as it seems like there might be some other problem but just for the time being you can take off the master cylinder and turn the adjuster screw a couple turns in to put some more free play in the brake pedal, that may keep it from locking up on you while you're driving.

bearings
yeah definitely a good call on the drive shaft. I replaced mine with a u joint style and it took out a lot of the slack. You might look at the wheel bearings too. If they get real bad they can vibrate like that. the tip off is that the vibration changes as the weight shift on and off of the bad bear...

Re: Highway vibration
when you say that it drifts to the right do you mean it if you let go of the wheel the wheel turns itself to the right? Or does it just go to the right even when you hold the wheel straight? seems like you might need an alignment and possibly some new steering Hardware. unfortunately the vibration a...

Re: HELP
Your probably right except I think its a clip not a pin. it seems to me that it's more likely that it broke where the linkage connects to the passenger side wiper. that linkage and the driver side wiper connect directly to the crank on the motor, so if it failed there both wipers would stop. also be...

Re: Drives normally in EVERY gear....except!!! Overdrive
I would check the shifter cable to see if it needs adjustment. I put a new transmission in my wife's cougar a couple years ago only to find out that the problem was the cable. So when you shifted into drive the shifter says drive but the transmission is actually in neutral. that doesn't explain why ...

transmission support brace
I just noticed that my transmission support brace is starting to rust through.( 88 b2 4x4)I'm having trouble finding any where to buy a new 1. Local junk yards don't have anything better than what I have now. it's rusting through on the tube that contains the rubber bushing. I've noticed on full siz...

Re: starter is grinding
I recently started working as a mechanic professionally and my shop gets all our parts from napa. Maybe advance if napa doesn't have it. I can definitely tell a difference in quality. Ill never go back to orielys or autozone again. I would return it and go to napa. They will probably even price match.
