just going to revive an old thread here...i got my springs from a j-yard, out of a 95 sploder four door. it's a four leaf pack, three leaves and a big thick flat one. I held it up to the b2, it looks like the mounts are in the right spots. i keep hearing 91-94 sploders are where to get the springs f...

okay - oiled it, and examined the plug, put it back on, and it idled beautifully. i guess something was sticking? seems to work fine now. - i had adjusted that screw on the tb about two full turns to get it to run before, and now the screw is backed off so it doeesn't even touch the rod. thank you f...

i did infact take it apart - but i didn't remove any pieces. i separated the two halves, and kept the rod in one side, sprayed carb cleaner, shook out pieces (kept my finger on the rod so it would stay there, and repeated. let dry for about 20 min while i did my oil change (perfect oil change no has...

the goings on at TRS...

anyone see the drama going on at TRS right now? their forums are down, and the hoster company won't give them their database which is full of files they own. if you go there, there is a message with copy & pasted emails from the two.

cleaned my IAC, now barely runs!!

i took it off the initake, removed the bottom part, and cleaned the whole thing with carb cleaner. i replaced the o-ring, and cut a new gasket out of a gasket sheet. now, it doesn't want to idle, and if i feather the gas, i estimate it's idling about 200 rpm - limping. lots of power, grunt is there,...

no, i'm not talking about putting a car body on a truck frame, just pointing out it's been done...too much maybe. you're right, a fiero would look shtupid, but i was doing a broad search of wheelbases. that willy's is the shit, man!! is it a willy's or a yota, though? :wtf: what do you call it? mayb...

cab swap?

i really like the look of the b2s with the chop. i think i really just like the small truck look. i saw a ranger single cab on a b2, and a small flat deck, and it looked awesome. i would consider finding a decent cab for a couple of hundies. then i came across this video... http://www.youtube.com/wa...

looks to me the d-shaft you grenaded was a stocker - tulip style cv shit? look at this comparison in size, and tell me it's not beefier than stock. btw, the thought i was trying to convey to you was "ditch the cv style joint and go with something BEEFY like my spicer double cardan", not &q...

i believe they are a 13 mm 12 point ...maybe a 12mm 12 point. i know i had to borrow a socket for it

if you have the right tool, it's not hard. i changed my entire driveshaft in 10 minutes.

on board air

hey folks. i was in my local free-pick yard (the dump), and ended up finding two cabs from cab-over trucks with air. i ripped into them, and grabbed fittings, lines, switches, etc. i got three pressure switches as well. is there any way to test these, maybe with a multimeter or something, to find ou...

looking from above, you have a space between the fan and motor (duh), look down into the space and you should see the shaft of the fan. it mnight be odl and oily and dirty, but is a hexagonal shaft. put a wrench on it, and left hand thread. don't have a wrench that big? vise-grips, or a strapwrench ...

also, if you suspect heads, teardown your other 2.9s and have the heads checked for warpage at an engine and machine shop. this is where i would start.
