I've done a 4.0L swap and I've helped a buddy do a 302 carb swap and the only disadvantage i have found with the 4.0L is engine rebuild cost is WAY more expensive than the 302. There are alot of hidden costs in a 302 swap. If you have all the parts and have done one before it shouldn't be that bad. ...

To set the timing you need to pull the spout plug out of it's socket. Located on the passengerside of intake. Plug that goes to nothing, just has a Grey cap on it. Losen the bolt for the distributer. Here is an update. I stretched the wheel base 1.5" with a Zero rate add a leaf. Painted the roof white Installed the lift glass into the rear hatch http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p198/Villanmotorsports/BIV%20Bronco/Roof008.jpg Trimmed the rear fenders to clearance for the 1.5" stretch....
