Snow plow on a B2???

Just wondering if ne1 has tried it... I have a 6' plow that came off a Blazer that Im thinking of putting on one of my B2s, I would need to fab mounts to mate the plow onto the truck but I work in metal fab so thats not an issue, Im just curious how well it might push. The B2 has a durasparked 2.8, ...

Re: 31s on an 89

I have a lifted '85 where the PO had cut a larger hole in the floor and extended the shift lever. Ive never driven the truck but it seems it would be functional. Its an extreme lift, 4" suspension and 4" body, I just wanted the body off it so I wont ever drive it but the PO said it worked ...

Re: '85 Bronco II Smog Pump Removal

There is a sequence of turning the ignition on/off a couple times to reset the emmision light but I only did that once on my first B2 many years ago, but I cant recall exactly how it went, since then Ive just been disconnecting the switch behind the glovebox, probably found the sequence on google or...

Re: 31s on an 89

That could maybe have been fixed with differant rims, Ive had 10.5x31s with Ranger rims on mine and they cleared inside the rear fender easily, but rubbed on the front, now I have 10x29.5s on those same rims and theres no problems at either end.

Re: Power lost on Incline

Thats an odd problem, cant think of anything that would be affected solely by going up an incline. Is this a stock 2.9? What tranny?

Check the fuel pump and filter.

31s will rub slightly when the wheels are at full lock.

Re: '85 Bronco II Smog Pump Removal

The emmision light is turned on every 60k by a relay behind the glove box, it can be unplugged, it wont be the cause of the no start problem tho, that is most likely a bad electrical connection or weak battery.

All that wiring and the vacumn lines get thrown out when the duraspark is installed, nothing left but the basics.

Re: Buying a B2 soon! Strive for a 90 or settle for an 87-89

Duraspark conversion is an electronic ignition swap for the german built 2.8L carb engine that is in the '84-'85 models, it gets rid off all the polution crap, computer. feedback carb and goofy electronics that are originally in the truck. Its about $750 to do it with all new parts but well worth do...

Re: Buying a B2 soon! Strive for a 90 or settle for an 87-89

Sometimes you have to take whatever is available at the right price and just go with it, and it depends alot on what you want to build. Personally I prefer the '84-'85 models with the 2.8 and the duraspark conversion... but Im not building an off road toy, I drive it to work every day and have a ful...

Re: The un fortuneate End of the Bronco II Project.

Thats too bad Tek, but we all have to rethink our projects now and then... and ones that sit too long sometimes have to go. My B2s are my DDs so they stay high of the priority list but Im about to give up on my f150 after this last trip up north, the tranny boiled out 2.5 litres of fluid on a hot da...
