It is a pretty gravy job. There is a panel, inside the cab, at the bottom of the heater air box (like 6 7mm screws). Un bolt the cover and as long as the lines are off the core should slide out. Good luck!

If it isn't the module, Fords through 80's are notorious for Ignition Switches failing. It is on the column and a lot of amps is drawn though it. I've seen where the main power wire has broke loose and you could be on a rough road and the power would shut off. Most times it would start right up agai...

It all depends on what you want to do with the rig to decide what motor to use. I haven't heard of a 4.3L mustang motor. I know a 4.6L is to wide for the transformation. I know that a mildly built 2.8 will eat the stock axles.

I got a new folding engine hoist with a Engine stand. I also got a 10 inch miter saw. I think my wife wants me to finish some projects around the house. :confused: Best of all I got a years subscription to to different offroas mags. cool :redneck:

Very nice, but I should get a reward for throwing the longest rooster tails climbing that little hill. Fullsize HP baby. I also caught caught the most air off of the little hill that the toy twisted his driveline on. I can take the heckling until the ford is finished. I'm glad to be back on. :D
