back of the left head and hooks to a wiper motor stud. a easy way to check body gound is to take 2 vicegrips and a wire then hook up to the body and gound termimal on battery.

Re: 86 bronco needs help
I had the same thing happen to me. but only when it was over 100 outside. made a 4 hour trip into an 8 hour trip. Taught the kids the fine art of lizard hunting that trip. The lift pump in the tank has a short hose that connects the pump to pick up. It was swollen (damn CA gas) and even with a full ...

Re: my fuel guage quirk
nope, if it had gauges, not lights, thats a easy way to test the IVR. i changed my temp to physical (which i think is better anyway) cause my temp gauge went out. if you lived here in Ca i would say the crappy gas has messed up your sender. to do it right you have to drop the tank and test it with a...

Re: Rocker arm noise.
yes, the book says 14 and 16 but i did them at 13, 15. adjust exhaust valve when the the intake valve fully open (down) adjust the intake valve when the exhaust just closes (up). the adjust nut is a friction lock so make sure it's not worn. I use to hate to adjust the valves on Aerostars under warra...

Re: my fuel guage quirk
is the coolant temp and oil pressure gauge working correct? there is a IVR (instrument voltage regulator) behind the cluster that operates these 3. it sound like a sender if the gauges all work correctly

Re: tail light wiring
remove the Pos cable off the battery, hook up a test light between the battery post and the cable. if you have a draw it should light up. remove your dome light fuse 1st (when your door is open the dome light curcuit is hot) Start pulling fuses till the light goes out or if you use a good light (sna...

Re: tail light wiring
ok "all other lights work" if that means the front and dash lights work corectly start at the begining.pull your steering column covers off and remove your mutifuction swt from column (easier to put a test light in the holes). With all connectors and key on, see if you have power to the le...

Re: Turn Signal
may be your Swt is going out. the next time they don't work, turn on and off your 4ways (hazards) a few times and see if it starts working. I got a new Mutifunction Swt from Napa a couple months ago cuase my Left turn didn't cancel. I felt dumb driving down the freeway with my turn signal on. So you...

Re: help please
if you jump it form the S terminal to the baterry post, will it turn over or at least click? make sure it's out of gear before you do this. Is this why you changed the starter realy in the 1st place?

Re: Turn Signal
check the W/LB (white with light blue tracer) off the mutifunction swt for the front and dash light and the O/LB (orange with light blue tracer) for the rear if the bulbs don't fix it. If the left works the flasher is ok. May be the mutifunction swt.

Re: tail light wiring
does the front turn signal and dash signals work also does it have the lamp out warning. what I don't understand is the back up lights. it sound like a mutifunction swt but the back up lights don't go thur it. The back up light does get power from the turn signal flasher. did this start all of a sud...
