I got an 87 2.9L Eddie Bauer and this thing loves the snow. I dont got any pictures but I'd like too. This thing is justa total beast in snow. It goes anywhere. I do have studded tires in the rear and chains on the front but still this thing puts full size truck to shame. It will go right through 3 ...

Re: Tons of front wheel friction in 4wd
I've heard that if you keep the hubs locked it it will decrease your gas mileage and makes parts wear out faster?

I actually went over everything with a wire brush and throughly cleaned it. Not real sure how bad the actual brushes are though, but everything is clean now.

My bronco isn't starting
I just had the starter off and had to put a new BWD gear in it, and I put the starter back on. Yesturday when I went out to start it, all it did was the selenoid clicked. As soon as I put the starter back on, I took it for a test drive and it started up fine. I'm pretty sure the battery is just dead...

Re: Bendix Gear
well I pulled off my starter today and took out the gear. It looks pretty rough for wear, so I ordered a new BWD gear and its being shipped. My starter looks pretty old and its pretty dirty inside, so I'm going to take a wire brush to it later and clean it up a bit.
