i got the 8.8 off of a 92 exploder, and im putting it in my 87 bii.
my bii has the regular 4x4 stick and im pretty shure the exploder had push button.
im just wondering if i need it. seeing how my bii didnt come with whatever option this rearend has.

yes, i am just wondering what it will take to transfer my 7.5 with drum brakes, to a 8.8 with disk brakes. i know i will need a new master cylinder and stuff, but what about brake lines ect.?? and what is a reasonable price for an 8.8. my guess is that a spline broke off of the ring gear. i heard a ...

I have been thinking about the 8.8
but that means a conversion from drum brakes to disk brakes.

so i finally pulled my transmission, and put in the new slave cylinder, clutch kit, and flywheel. then i put it all back together and attached the new clutch master cylinder to slave cylinder hose. and im almost 100% shure it was done properly, theres always that one chance. i bled the line and pump...

it comes out of the transfer case, right infront the shifter and to the right of the 4x4 shift. it has a green (or at least mine did) tail that comes out of the top that plugs into some of the wiring. this is what it liiks like when its in the case. (the wires arent attached, its all shot and rotted...

that rig rocks, it works very well and smooth. my dad had one in his shop untill he got an actual lift.
the wheelchair shouldnt be a problem, i used to sit in a computer chair and change the oil on my old GTO.

i had pretty much the same problem as you. but mine went out the day i bought it. so this $80 deal came in pretty handy. i hope you can find something that will work and not cost a fortune, goodluck.

autozone has a flomaster exhaust kit for 80 bucks and its pretty good. it comes with everything you will need.
