Re: What did you do with your Bronco II today?

I took off the air/smog pump and found that I can now use two identical belts, the PS belt fits the alt aswell now that the pump is gone, pump was getting noisy so its nice to be rid of it. Cleaned up the Ranger consol and took some measurements, looks like it should fit just fine, but thats about a...

Re: What did you do with your Bronco II today?

Been driving the B2 everyday since getting the duraspark swap done, was a little trail and error to get the choke and timing set how I like, its running nice. This weekend I have a differant center consol from a 94 ranger I want to start on, a new trailer connector to install, figure out what size a...

Re: What did you do with your Bronco II today?

Not sure what it actually did but there was some kind of smog pump on the intake manifold so I threw it away and made a nice 1/4" aluminum plate and gasket to cover the holes and then went for a 120km test drive past a few nearby towns, longest trip the truck has made in a couple years probably...

Re: Hello from Alberta

Have you checked around the GT forums to see if anyone else has put a loader on a similar tractor? I would think a '95 craftsman would be a little on the light side, do you know what the shipping weight is for the tractor, usually guys want to start with something about 850lbs and up. How thick are ...

Re: Creative use of a drill press

I buy router bits made for use with steel and aluminum, since they are designed with cutting edges on the side of the bit they work very well with a cross slide vise.

Re: door dinger?

In my '85 its above the glove box beside the emmisions control service module, if you have the dash out just pull the light switch on and you'll find it easily.

but you will leave the lights on and regret it..lol

Re: My $200 B2

With the recent duraspark conversion parts added in I now have a total investment of about $3000 over the past four years, which includes the two parts trucks. It doesnt really look like a $3k truck but it does run like one. Most every major electrical component has now been replaced except the star...

What did you do with your Bronco II today?

I like these 'what did you do' threads on other forum so I figured I try it out here and see if it catches on, whether your working on it or playing in the mud...anything goes. Since I just finished the duraspark conversion I still have some unused emmision control bits to remove, I cleaned up the a...

Re: Hello from Alberta

Ya the Bolens is a good looking unit for its age, I touch up the paint every few years and keep it well maintained, not fully original but it is actually an un-restored tractor with the original motor still going strong. I got it from an uncle about 25 years ago, he had put the sears snowblower on i...

Re: Ne1 gone Duraspark?

Up until last spring my DD was a '94 4L Ranger so that wasnt too bad on fuel, but then we bought a small travel trailer so I bought an '89 F150 5L and sold the Ranger, so now I want use the B2 as my DD. Turns out the F150 doesnt really have the power to pull the trailer very well so now Ive also bou...

Re: Ne1 gone Duraspark?

Calling this project done, went well and works well, truck drives like its got 20 more HP, more wiring and vacumn lines on the floor than there is in the truck now. I'll be watching the gas mileage closely for a while, should be an improvement. My truck is a stock '85 2.8L manual Highly recommended ...
