Re: FIRE!!
It's only funny because all ended well. I have one mounted to the roll cage and I should get a few for laying around I would hate to watch all the contents of my shop go up in flames.

Re: WV 11/28/08
I slid sideways into my slider fairly hard and pushed it in, although it does not look like much in the video and I have done what I thought was much worse I have some problems. I bent the rear of the slider, tube flair and the bottom of the rear door post in about 3/4". Looks like a bit of bod...

Re: 5.0 Install
Let me get this straight, you would rather have a carbed old motor vs a newer FI roller motor? I yarded out the carbed stuff a few years ago for the FI stuff and it's one of the best mods I have done. Also I used the 5L oilpan in my EB so I bet it would work for you, if not I still have the EB oil p...

Re: 5.0 Install
You want to use the flywheel that is setup for the bellhousing, all the trucks I have ever seen are the 164 tooth setup, if you put the 158 in there the starter won't engage and you may be stuck with a smaller clutch. Imbalance changed when they went from the 302 to the 5L, yes there is a difference...

Re: Trans cross member bushing ?
I would avoid trying to spin them because in my experience they are a PITA to remove and you may damage them and they you SOL (bushings in general not specific BII ones). If you measure the bushings you should be able to fins some generic ones online if you cant get them specific for the broncoII. A...

Re: nail hole in oil filter
Good tip, another is use aluminum foil to direct the oil if needed to keep stuff clean. On my motorcycle the oil filter is above the header so if I don't use foil I have a huge mess.

I talked to him about 8-9 days ago. He has some stuff going on that may take him out of town so I would not be surprised if we don't see him for awhile.

Re: early bronco frame ?????
A guy here in the NW did it a few years ago but he also hacked it to basically an extended cab length. His name is Roger but he goes by the name "fearMe" if you want to search other forums.
I have this picture and he has sence scraped the body and went back to an EB.

Re: 88 bronco II not getting power to first fuel pump
Sounds like a bad pump. If you rear pump is getting power it rules out the inertia switch and relay so it's either wiring or pump. Try jumping from the inertia switch to the pump and see if it works, if so it's the wiring if not it's the pump.

Re: Steering box leaking around sector shaft
You will have to buy the kit to get the seal, it's not that hard on the Ford boxes I have done but I have not ever done a BII one. You will probably have to pull the sector shaft to do the seals and reset the depth when done. You will get fluid everywhere so I have not ever taken any pictures for fe...
