Re: trouble shooting
Really, I thought it was the TFI. Was it corroded at the connectors?

Re: trouble shooting
You HAVE to see if it's a fuel or spark problem then go from there.

Re: trouble shooting
TFI is what I call it. That's why I wanted to know if it was fuel or spark. Glag you got it fixed. Good job.

Re: trouble shooting
Go ahead and change the filter. What happens to the tank pump is the rubber hose from pump to pipe goes bad, the pump will work just won't supply the high pressure pump. Again make sure it's a fuel problem. Did you do a search?

Re: trouble shooting
If it was the inertia switch, it would be dead. But sometimes the connection corroded. Do a search on in tank fuel pump and see if that may be your problem. You'll have to see if it's a fuel or spark problem. You didn't say what year it was and 88 and below had 2 pumps. except the 2.8L. Next time it...

No harm, no foul. Were you by yourself or did you have to call someone and now have to listen to "remember when I had to leave my kids B-day party to pull you back on your wheels"?

Re: 2.3 turbo swap in broncoll
Your Merkur isn't spinning it wheels and then catching traction the spinning and so on. That's just me opinion and it's free so take it for what it's worth. I did a ton of recalls to the T-birds and SVO's when they came out to make the turbos water cooled cause they were burning up right and left. I...

Your going to have to get the whole assy. When the TK first came out they had a white one and they recalled that one for the black assy. You might want to try the Junk Yard and remember that Rangers came with these also. I don't know anyone who sell them reproduction, someone here might.

Re: 2.3 turbo swap in broncoll
Rangers came with the 2.3L so you could just get the bell housing. I don't like the turbo lag for 4X4. The power band isn't there on low end and when the turbo hits it's uncontrolable and more likely to break something. It great for sand but for low range, I'd rather have a blower.
