Re: cant figure a couple of things out

First off, I'd try finding the C5 that actually came in the BII, then rebuild it for your V8. Axle swaps are numerous, some guys put full width axles in, most put in the Explorer axles which are basically bolt-ins, but I'm not sure about putting a V8 power to them.. Do a site search for axle swaps..

Re: 2.9 rebuild

Before you get too far into it, make sure you have the heads magnafluxed to see if you'll have to replace them and while you have it off, double check the passenger side exhaust manifold, they're famous for cracking and producing a lot of noise. Instead of rebuilding the 2.9 ($), you should look aro...

Re: 86 bronco II not getting fuel

Have you tried resetting the roll-over switch under the dash on the passenger's floorboard?

Re: Trailer woes...

That's a good one. I had a similar issue with my '88. Changed out everything it seems, but it ended up being the 02 sensor.. didn't even show up on the computer.. BUT yours runs without the trailer.. very strange.

Re: new guy from Colorado

I always thought one of those would be pretty cool. One of the guys here has the 4 dr wagon (concorde?) 4x4 that's in pretty nice shape as a DD.

Again, welcome aboard. Glad to have you.

Re: 5.0 Install

dbrown, I believe you are correct on your waterpump directions. Most of the older ones spun ccw when looking at them from the front of the vehicle and therefore the outlet was to the passenger side.

I like your site and that's great information on the 2150. I'll scan and send you a couple articles I have on it also. Thanks for this.

Re: Parts swap question

I would suggest another BII, Ranger or Explorer. From your earlier post it sounds like you may only need the electrical motor for your transfer case.. Think simple first.

Re: New member, looking at an '89 - need advice

Right off the cuff, there are a few things to take a look at. The rear hatch handle for those are pretty common, easy to find and a straight forward fix. Get a Chilton or Haynes or better yet, both. You might check the passenger side exhaust manifold for a crack that can lead to an exhaust leak and ...
