Re: Tranny question
I don't like autos but that is a personal preference. If you have the C4 / 20 combo and want an auto then by all means run it, I could not see that you will have a problem with that combo.

Re: Tranny question
No, I would say that the 435-205 would be the way to go. The only down side to the 205 is the lower low range vs the 20. If your not wheeling it hard why spend the extra money on an aftermarket adapter and more sought after case when factory stuff will work and be stronger. so, I guess you guys woul...

Re: Tranny question
The t-18 and 435 do use the same bell housing. The 435-205 is a good cheap setup, the 20 gives you more gearing but it's weaker and more expensive

Re: 5.0 HO/435 install questions
I am not sure but IIRC the EB pan is the way to go, if that is the case I have one for sale cheap. did most people who did this swap with a 5.0 go to the f-150 oil pan or did they stay with the mustang pan? i think the f-150 you are able to add another quart of oil, not sure about this, anyone have ...

Re: On board air what to do
Don't waste your time with any electric pumps, they all suck. I would use the factory pump you have, even if it sucks it will be enough to make you happy if you are considering electric.

So far so good, I even remembered my password!
Now get to work on the Bronco! I have been driving mine to work for the last week, it's nice but expensive vs the Honda.

Re: lock right
just for the record, I have busted many front end parts and I don't think it's the locker causing any of it.vabronconut wrote: i got the same results as EBsteve, i busted allot of shaft ears, which is a pain in rear.

I have busted many shafts, joints and other front end parts with the Detroit e-z-locker in the front with no problems at all. It's the same as the lock rite and I have busted more front axles than I care to remember, imo well worth the cash. http://forum.broncoii4x4.com/files/thumbs/t_108_0803_176.j...

Without a key and without damage it's a PITA, it took me well over an hour to do one. I would suggest calling a locksmith and asking him how much to do it or talk to Ford and see if they can make you a key off of the vin #, if they can it should be under $5. If you have to do it without the key go s...
