Re: Carb freezes
Any of the carburated 2.8 liter engines should work for you. They were also in the mustangs I believe. You may just be able to dangle a piece of duct from the flange on the horn to the manifold and put some weight there to keep it in the warm air area.. maybe welding magnets from Harbor Freight?

Re: heater blows cold air
Thanks for the update.. word of caution for those out there driving these now 20 year old vehicles; unless you have had the radiator and heater core rebuilt or replaced, taking it to have it power flushed is NOT a good idea. The older radiators and heater cores (which are just smaller radiators) ove...

Re: 4x4 + snow question
Glad to be of assistance and glad you got your questions answered. One last thing to be aware of is that because you have automatic hubs, just like most of the 4x4s these days; when you engage your four wheel drive (4H) it will NOT engage the front wheels for 10 to 15 feet. Here's an example of what...

Re: Carb freezes
Your air cleaner should have a flange on the horn that drops down towords the driver's side exhaust manifold. The manifold has a piece on it that directs the air from the manifold through a piece of duct to the air filter. Your's is probably missing the piece that is screwed/bolted to the manifold a...

Re: 4x4 + snow question
First off, the only stupid questions are those you don't ask. Secondly, you would find it extremely difficult to find a serious truck or off-road vehicle of any type that is not rear wheel drive. Once you understand them, and learn to drive them, you'll be a fan.. First off, getting ready to run you...

Re: help stupid running lights
I'm guessing that I would very quickly check out your headlight switch. Remember that your parking lights are lit on the second or middle detent on your switch. Should be fairly easy with a trouble lite or multimeter to check out.

Kolton, Thanks for the pics. I don't know if we have something different or not in store. I'll definately be checking as when I put the Explorer's 4.0 in this summer, I'll be in the need.... Don't know why you can't order from the on-line catalogue. Being here in Iowa, the season for highway muffler...

Re: Dash Panel brake Light
One of the guys on a different post suggested that this may stem from the proportioning valve which would be why in most cases the brakes would still work. It's cold and snowy outside, so I'm not gonna check it on my BIIs, but if you have a warm, dry place, you may take a peek and see if somethings ...

Kolton, Just did a search on the AutoZone site, but this is what I got: "Search Results for "flowmaster" We're sorry, but there are no results in this parts category for your 1984 Ford Truck Bronco II 4WD 2.8L 2BL" Tried it for the 88 also, but came up the same. Do they have more...

Dude. Nice looking. Gotta like the look and love the way you can do about anything you want with these. The clean and simple looks make them a joy to own. I've always loved the square look to the older models best. With all the new stuff trying to look and feel like one another these stand out.. and...

Cajun, I hope this is a joke. These are the same folks along with Sierra Club who are bit by bit restricting the use of mountain bikes to many of the trails across California and the northwest. Sorta like the way the groups are trying to get rid of God in America.. Pretty soon we're going to be legi...

Re: What should I look for when checking out a Bronco?
Well, an '88 BII with 70K shouldn't be too rough, and for $2500 it should be a gem without any problems. It looks nice enough. Mostly what you are looking for is basic for any used car, except for a couple items. The 2.9 is a good motor, should start and run smooth and quiet and should have good pul...
