If the smell of gas is over powering, it is not a fuel problem. i am willing to bet that the exhaust is plugged. what state are you in and does it still have a cat on it. sorry. cat is catalytic converter

Just gotta do the research and set it up for what you want. are you going for horsepower or torque. make sure you get cam and lifters as a set.

So i took off the accumulator. there was no filter and i could not find a filter anywhere there would fit in there. but therw was a lot of dirt in the bottom of it. i can see why people have a hard time getting them to seal. i ended up buying a filter that didnt fit just for the o ring. i replaced t...

I would just pull the pump off the in tank unit and put i piece of fuel line with a pickup screen on the metal tube. that way you still have the sending unit.

just type in rear end identification for your truck on your fave search engine. there are plenty of sites out there that help identify with the tag numbers. some sites even have pictures of all the different ones and show how to identify

sorry it took a few days. i have been busy as hell. so since i have pulled the filter and in tank pump, my idle has gone from 7-800 to 1000 and in the morning when i start it before work it smells like it is running rich. i just put a vacuum gauge on the regulator. i am getting 15in/hg from manifold...

I forgot. i pulled the line off the regulator and it is dry. did you mean apply 10 in/hg or apply vacuum until i have 10psi. im gonna guess 10 in/hg

I pulled the filter and it is not plugged. pulled the pump out of the tank. it hasnt been very long since it and the strainer were replaced but it never hurts to look. The pump and strainer still look new. i will test the regulator tomorrow at work. but here is another weird thing. i relieved the pr...

My 88 2.9 has been randomly dying on me. i know it is a fuel problem. what i dont know is how to tell which pump it is for sure. i hooked up a snap on digital gauge and my fuel pressure bounces all over the place. between 12 psi and 36 psi. i think it is the high pressure pump on the frame rail. but...

i just had to put a new ignition switch in mine. it would only run if i held the key in a certain spot. if i let go of the key it would shut off but i still had power to the dash stuff

what if you want fuel injection. i read somewhere that the stock pump in the b2 will support a 5.0 but don't know how true it is

No. do a search for swaps. there are lots of posts. therangerstation.com has some good info. but nobody ever talks about fuel system set up when they put in a fi 5.0. that is the info i need
