I mentioned in my previous reply that the product...-40Below...was off the market. NOT SO! I found some at an AutoZone(yes...I do sometimes go there!). It was about $26.00 a can. This stuff really does work. Just be sure to drain it out of your cooling system before the weather drop s below freezing.

The local Tn. boys have their spot...

A friend down in Ga. recently set us up with a domain. A few years ago,a 4x4 club came wheelin' in our turf and they insulted us by calling us the damn locals. We never got over the insult and we started calling each other that name. The "damn locals" tag kinda got stuck on us and most eve...

I cannot give you an exact measurement of the lift(I did not measure),but...I got the needed lift on my B3 by adding leafs from an F-150 to the existing BroII leaf pack. I used the original BroII main leaf and all the other leafs from the pack...+ three leafs from the F-150 pack. I used the main lea...

I was having problems with my 2.8 a few years ago...running hot on the trail. I replaced everything I knew of and still got the overheating. My solution":I drained the coolant and replaced it with plain water and aproduct called -40 Below. It lowered the operating temp by 20-25*. The additive is...

"Shoulda bought a jeep"?

Since I finally got the B3 running...I just love it when we are planning a trailride and we are talking to a group about what kinda rigs are gonna show and what kinda mods to expect to be there for the ride(It helps us decide which trail to use). When they ask me what kinda rig I have and I tell them...

Having a V8 in my rig is a lot different. Now,I don't have wail on the thing to have power...I can go about anywhere I want without having to "run at it". Here's a pic taken by a friend while I was helping lead some trails for the Georgia Bounty Runners 4x4 Club. As you can see, I have som...

It has done quite well so far...except for the cooling problem...which I THINK I have overcome.I have driven it in the boonies a couple times and other than a few loose bolts, has done what it was supposed to do and went where it was pointed. The thing has taken a while to complete(almost 2 years)and ...

I have a C4 and a Dana 20 in my 85 BroII. I have NEVER heard of any "clearance problems". Actually..the Dana 20 was the easiest xfer to put in! It's considerably smaller than other xfers.

I will get some pix this weekend. I am taking the BroIII on its first trail ride today.I was quite concerned about the angle the shocks were mounted at,but after driving up on a tree stump, the shocks seemed to work just fine.We shall see for sure today.

Nobody. I finally got vmy Bilstein 5100's on. I ended up using shock towers from an F-150. I had to cut part of the bootom of the bracket off some since it hung below the bottom of the frame rail. I had to angle the tower toward the rear some because they had to clear the new bump stops I added. I f...

The Ranger springs will work. In the past I have broken the main leaf in my BroII and used leafs from Ranger packs. As a matter of fact,I presently have some leafs from an F-150 in my packs now.

TNMAN's BroIII

I should have some pix up in the next few days(new Sony Handycam). I am waiting on my frt driveshaft that a local guy is making for me. I used a shaft from a full size Bro as a starting point. There are a few minor details to be worked out,but a shakedown run is coming in the next few days. I will t...

I installed a Duff radiator on my BroII project and since I put the V8 in, I had very little room inboard to install a fan. I went to the local junk yard and found an elec fan that fits the inside of the rad almost perfectly. The fan and shroud cover every bit of the cooling surface. I used the zip-...
