Re: tips & pointers needed before I buy a lift kit.

lol you mean you broke from the crowd and didn't buy a jeep???? what the hell were you thinking??? look body lifts are fine, not the best if you are in a accident but don't wreck and you wont have to worry about it. allot of 4 wheel guys don't like body lifts because it makes the truck a little more...

Re: 2.9 TO 4.0????

went to look and it seems to be real strait forward.kinda plug and play. :redneck: ive never done it or seen it done personally but seeing how the explorer is a direct and nearly identicle replacment to the bii and followed the ranger platform as the bii did, i would think it would be simple . let ...

Re: Picked up an 8.8 today. Need a bit of info

Re: Picked up an 8.8 today. Need a bit of info

Picked up an 8.8 today from a 93 explorer. It has 3.73's which was the best out of 18 explorers in the yard. Now I have two quick questions. 1.) at the top of the housing, there was an electrical switch attatched. It just unsnapped when I took it off. What is this for? did some explorers come with ...

Re: Few more questions before I tackle my build

i heard also the explorer springs give 2" lift but couldn't tell you for 100%, with the amount you are talking about lifting your truck the pinion angle is not really an issue, 5" or more it comes into play. if you are rewelding the perches on the new axle. i might rotate them about 1/4&qu...
