Re: major problem with my bronco II

might be a clogged cat. and I don't think the code reader will help you with that.

are you able to unbolt your cat. from your exhaust or is it all welded together?

Re: leaf setup?

well after thinking about it I think I came up with 2 different options. I am basicly using 4 front hangers for a 4x4 f100 meaning the 3" wide leafs and the lower hanging front brackets from 2 different trucks. 1. I am thinking to fab a bracket to over lap the frame and mount the front hanger t...

leaf setup?

ok, this is not a BII specific question but I feel like this could help some people when setting up there leafs in the rear. I am relocating the leafs on my latest project and where I want them the frame is not completely parallel. as in the frame looks like this "/ \" instead of this &quo...

Re: major problem with my bronco II

a code reader was around $40 when I bought mine.

you might try to just unplug, I don't know...the o2 sensor to send it into a "limp home" mode and see if it will drive smooth enough to get it to autozone...

Re: Most popular leaf spring swap???

on the shackle I wouldn't go much more then an inch or so...reason is you have to extend the shackle 2" to get 1" of lift. some people use a chevy drop shackle to lift a BII. might want to look into that. I would probably measure everything, do your front first then match the back to the f...

Re: Most popular leaf spring swap???

I don't know about the chevy leafs but I would not build a shackle to get too much lift.

personaly I would put together a combo pack from different leaf packs or just buy the 7" lift leaf if anyone sells that height of lift.

what are you doing for the front?

Re: 2.9 or 4.0

well, the good thing is if you get the whole truck is you are getting more then just everything under the hood if it is 4x4. you will also score a D35.

I would definatly recomend having both trucks setting next to each other when you do the swap. how good of shape is the explorer in?

Re: DBrown's 10yr project...

well, I haven't exactly been working on bronco stuff but it is moving me in a direction. so here are some pic's of what I have been working on! twin sticked the 205, fabbed my shifters and everything cost me $0 as you can see I used the factory shifter for the 205 and a d21 shifter. I cut down the p...
