Fearme had a 60 in the nose, but it was a BII body on an EB frame. He's the only one that I recall. He used is 44 arms and welded some wedges on the 60. I don't think it's really that big of a deal. You should be able to grind the wedges till they fit. I know there was some talk about it a few years...

I haven't rebuilt a 435 yet, but they are supposed to be one of the easiest. I believe all the gears can be swapped on the mainshaft unlike some trannys we are all familiar with. I also believe 1st and reverse might be the same gear....but of course there are other gears involved with reverse. Searc...

The topic has come up a few times on Pirate. I don't think running a rear wristed arm would be a good idea. Since only one arm is keeping the axle wrap under control.
