Re: need help with 84 b2 carb
I just responded on the member rides section. One thing I did was look in the phonebook and started calling places. I went with a place called automotive rebuilders: rebuilders of all sorts of parts. I then went to the better business website and plugged in that companies phone number for results. G...

Re: 84 B2 She is new to me
I just got my carb rebuilt here in Las Vegas for $170 and some change. I took it off myself and took it to the shop and they had it completed that afternoon. She runs really good except I put in some ethanol fuel to help with the emissions test and now she doesn't like to idle. I need to add more fu...

New white type smoke
I just put my rebuilt carb back on my 84 BII, 5spd. :D I had all kinds of pieces of tabe labeling lines, hoses and etc... I had to readjust the idle speed which now works great. Now I have lots of white smoke whenever I gun the engine and let it idle. I just changed the oil and it ...

Re: Hows this deal on a BII?
Nice looking rig. I just purchased a 1986 BII 4x4, 2.8L, 5 spd with OD out here in Las Vegas, NV. I know $$$ always varies in each state. The guy wanted $1,100, about 142K miles I got him to take $800.00. I need to align the front end, I just put on a rebuilt carb, I need to put tires on and title a...

Re: Which is better a rebuilt or remanufactured carb?
Vabronconut thanks for the reply,
I am still going to leave the fuel line insulated as she runs better, hopefully with a good functioning carb she will run awesome.

Which is better a rebuilt or remanufactured carb?
Well she failed the emissions test today. My 84 BII failed on the idle & high speed Hydrocarbons and the Idle & High speed Carbon Monoxide. the tech thought because too much fuel is dumping in the system. I am still having my flooding problem when it gets warm so I thought time to replace th...

84 B2 She is new to me
Well I wanted to find something I could haul my pedal bike with to the dirt trails and go on back road excursions here in hot Las Vegas, Nevada. I also wanted to keep the miles lower on my mini cooper. I started looking at Samurais, then I decided to look at Bronco II. Well I left the house on...

Re: what else you working on?
I have a 1966 Ford F100 that I inherited from my Dad that I mess with trying to keep it in the great shape my Dad had it in. I am also learning to play around with mountain style bicycles. I have an old GT ZAKAR I got from a friend. I have the rear derailer zip tied, I can only use the front small g...

84 BII rides again
Thanks to VAbronconut. :D After many suggestions from friends and having time to get some 5/16 hose: I followed VAbronconut's advice. I insulated the fuel line with a 5/16 rubber hose. I still have the JCWhitney fuel line insulation coming in the mail, I may not use it. symptoms: she would tu...

84 BII rear hatch handle?
Does anyone know if the later model rear exterior hatch (liftgate) handle fits the 84 hatch.
The Hatch handle on mine is starting to spin around and around.
Thanks-Kelly
