Sounds to me like you have a blown head gasket or cracked head. If you overheat a 2.9 it is almost certain you will crack a head.

I don't always change the plugs in my Fords but when I do I only use Dos Autolite!

It sounds like you have a classic case of collapsed rubber brake line. As it is rear brakes only I would guess it is the rubber flexible line from the chassis to the rear diff housing. Looks like maybe the tire from setting took a set in the belting. they like bend the steel belts slightly from being held in one position for a long time. If they lose air it is 3 times worse. some don't even get affected. The worse ones I ever seen were a set I had on a 64 Chevelle. The tires were ...

I been working my rear off on the Coupe. Frame is jigged up and needs 1 more last fit of the body before I lock it down and put the cross members in. Still Lots to do before it is a roller. I need to finish it to roller condition so it can be moved and my 1923 T rolled out for detailing and getting ...

Wow, I don't feel so bad about my Full Size 08 E150. 12 to 13 around town and maybe 16 highway.. My Van is big, boxy, heavy and has a triton 5.4. Oh and My foot weighs a ton on that little go pedal.
