i've found a 92 exploder doner what all do i need to pull off it to swap in the 4.0, auto trans, front end ,and rear end, into my 89 b2

will it hurt my gas mileage to cut off the cat ?

i've got an 89 b2 with the 2.9 and i cut the rear cat a couple of years ago it still has the front one their were two on it one right behind the other one, would it cause any problems to get rid of the front one or just gut it as far as computer problems or gas mileage ?

yea its on the drivers side, not sure about the gears, not really worried about the gears either, it is coil sprung with either a 3 or 4 link set up, i'm not sure what your asking (what kind of control arms) ? also someone told me that explorer leafs will give a couple inches of lift in the rear is ...

ok i've got a dana 30 from a 93 grand cherokee that i'm going to put in my b2, does anyone have any advice on this as far as setting up control arms, coil springs to use, rear springs to use, i would like to get about four inches of lift

mines an 89 but its between the catalytic converter and the motor, mine actually had two on it, i had the front one cut off and they left the rear one, it really made a noticeable difference in power, i guess the front one catches all the junk

yea the tach may be off a little, but it sounds like its twisted up there pretty good and i'm pretty sure its the factory gears, my dad bought it in late 91 so unless the gears were changed before that they are factory

its a 5-speed, according to that chart if their 27 inches tall( and i measured them and the best i can tell they are a hair over 27 inches tall ) then thats a 4.56 gear, did they put gears that low in any of them from the factory?

as long as you dont put it in 4wd and keep the hubs unlocked it probably won't hurt anything for a little while, but you will need to change them eventually, my 89 B2 has 4.10's atleast if not lower and its factory, not sure about the limited slips though. i have a question if anyone knows, my B2 at...

depending on what you want to do with it you can put about a two or three inch body lift on it and their cheap (i bought a three inch from jims offroad here in oak ridge for $96.00) and get the sawzall out and you should be able to clear 33's pretty easily, i ran 31 inch buckshots on mine for a whil...

i kinda figured that black was where you wanted to be but i wasn't sure, i think i want to run 38's now, so i think a 5.13 or 5.38 will work good its a 2.9 5-speed
