I was told that the 8.8" rear axles on the early 90's Ford Explorers can replace the 7.5" axles on the Bronco II. I think the Explorer rear axle is called the Dana 35, but I am not sure. Is this a possible swap and how difficult would this job be?

I have an 86 Bronco II with a 6" Skyjacker lift on it and a 3" body lift with 36" super swampers. In the future I plan to convert the front axle to a straight axle set up. For now I am broke and will be using the stock front suspension set up. I want to know if I can disconnect the front sway bars ...

I would like to know what rear differential lockers are avaailable for my 86 Bronco II. The rear axle is stock.
