Duraspark swap and charcoal cannister wiring

I am in the middle of a Duraspark swap on my 84 BII. I have removed the smog pump, egr valve, computer ,all wiring vacuum lines, ect. I had disabled the smog pump and EGR before going through emissions testing just to see what happened, it passed fine, so I gleefully threw all that mess in the trash ...

Advance Auto doesn't carry then anymore. What other makes and years have the necessary part so I can maybe get it out of a junkyard?

84 to 85 Thermostat outlet swap?

Read on another site that 85 2.8L motors had their thermostat in the upper water outlet attatched to the top rad hose, instead of having it in the 84's location down low in the front. If this is so, can I just go snag an upper water outlet from a 85? If it is true, apparently even Ford thought it ...

The rear driveshaft flange was broken where it held the u-joint bearing cup. I found another one in the junkyard.

I was able to take a look at it..it has 2 u-joints at the transfer case side, one u-joint at the diff side. Looked like a slip joint into the transfer case at first, but when i looked closer, it seemed to be some kind of flange, and it has a rubber boot on the middle of the driveshaft where the ...

What style driveshaft for an '84 5-speed BII ?

Kid was driving his truck, and broke the driveshaft. Wasn't wheeling or anything, just driving down the road. Problem is, I am not going to have alot of time to fix it, and the truck is some distance away, so I have to take with me what i think i need to fix it sight unseen. He has no idea what he ...

I did my headliner a few weeks ago, got some heavy felt from the fabric store, and some contact type uphlostery spray glue from the auto parts store. All the interior panels have to come out, it makes it easier to get the liner in and out that way. Be sure to scrape all the remaining stuff off the ...

The rad is flowing OK,took it off and had it checked...it looks to be one out of a later model Bronco II, as the previous owner rigged it in with wire ties. That's another project, finding the correct upper radiator mounts for when I do buy the correct rad in the future. The thing that bugs me, is ...

It seems that the Ford dealer parts book has different thermosats..one for Bronco II's made before 12/84 and after 12/84. The one for the later trucks is 10 bucks, the one for the earlier trucks is way more expensive. Autozone, Advance Auto, ect all show the thermostat as being the same.

There is a mech temp gauge, reads around 190 with no thermostat. Pegs over 220 with a thermostat. i am filling the collant using the procedure on the core support...taking off the upper radiator hose at the rad, pouring coolant in there, reattatching it, then into the radiator. I suppose there might ...
