well i did all of it and it still runs a little rough when I first start it. It does definatly run better though. The rpms dont drop to 400 like last time. The problem now is when I first start out driving down the road....it will not want to die....but it wont respond to gas pedal inputs and it ...

A little problem
Ive got an 86 bII with a 2.9. It starts up fine but for about the first 1-2 minutes, it gets really hesitant. It almost dies out completely. Its also putting out a little black smoke. Do you think it could be the fuel pump regulator? Once i get going....it seems to run fine. I have to get it smogged ...

Fuel Pump Regulator Lines
Ive got an 86 b2 with a 2.9 v6. The fuel pump regulator is located to the right of the fuel injector housing towards the back. It has two fuel lines running into it. The bottom line stays on and gives me no problems....but the top little bastard keeps coming undone. I'll be driving and it just slips ...
