I think I will do the v8......lol . I am looking at a remanufactured 302 HO.
So if I get the running gear under My b2 from the 95 Eploder I will be a couple of steps closer to the engine swap.I also found a 1988 F150 with a 4 speed granny tranny and transfer case.....would it be possible to use these?

running gear from 1995 exporer sport
Hey Guys, I am still researching my v8 swap and found a 1995 explorer sport 4.0 that I can get very cheap. Will the front and rear ends work for me with the v8? I am not sure what is under the 95 and its about an hour away to go take a look at. Is it worth my time to go check it out?Would be buying ...

Im glad you are having good luck with your 2.9. I have gotten 210,000 miles out of mine.....and had to replace nearly everything but the block...lol.It has left me stuck on the side of the road from Oklahoma to the mountains here in North Carolina. Its time for a new powerplant....or a new vehicle ...

I have a 1989 302 out of an econoline, but it is junk....would use it for a core for a rebuilt engine .just put a jasper rebuilt in my f 150 about 6 months ago and would probably do the same with this one.
