I'm the wrong person to ask the first thing I did was chop my top off. but I think you could probably hinge it from the inside with some pins to pull or something along those lines. As long as you can see the threads on the bolts you could probably modify something but the sealing will be your ...

if your interior is intact and you want it to stay that way I wouldn't try and hinge it. i gutted mine so i have no need for the windows. you would run into problems with the window sealing, but anything is possible.

78 D44 matched with 76 D44

ok guys I picked up a D44 out of a 78 fs bronco but I bought the cage 5.5 progressive rate spring for the front. My problem is what to do, to correct my pinion angle with cast wedges. I pulled radius arms out of a junk yard and the axle is still there so i'm wondering should I stick with what i've ...

you are correct it's just temporary until I can figure out what to do with the front I am liking your idea of the solid axle but I would rather not have to change the width of the frame again and definitely not leafs. the frame is as wide as an f150 so any suggestions would be appreciated.

hahaha get yer chevy jokes in boys.

no the radius arms are about 3 inches longer and I had to raise the suspension up and loosen the radius arms so they would move inward not much fun. then I had to use the radius arm mounts off of the other f150 frame. i'll post those pics later tonight
