Re: AR15 build

Nice AR! How much are you into it? Have you looked at the robinson arms xcr? I am thinking about getting one of these. They are pricy, but I think you get what you pay for out of it. Plus when they come out with a .22lr conversion it will be cheaper to go play/train with.

Re: SAS turn radius

ok, alots been said. Personaly i dont see the point in taking the motor, and axles out of an explorer, just buy an explorer. you get an extra two doors that way too. just my opinion.

as far as the sas, d44 is the easiest. so you might as well get some over kill.

Re: SAS turn radius

ok, lets start over a little bit. for the front... the axle is not what you are looking for. its the suspension. ford used the "swapable" suspension in the early broncos(all of them) as well as in f-150's and broncos from 78-79. i think thats right, either way they are pretty recognizable ...

Re: Fuel guage reads full always

Well, my guess would be that a woire is grounded that shouldn't be. The sending unit has a resister that changes the resistance the more gas you put in the tank. Some change it from high to low, others change from low to high. Ford changed them a lot. The ranges also changed. But incompatability doe...

I have seen this done to make home made tanks, but in a regular 4x4 I don't think it would make sense. Might as well buy a locker.

you should be able to check the guage by grounding one of the wires to the tank and see if the guage works. if the guage works tehn its prolly the sending unit. which sux cuz its attatched to teh fuel pump so you have to buy a new fuel pump.
