:redneck: its a 78 that got rolled by a drunk it was considered totaled by ins, so i got the whole thing for scrap ($51.63-tub was glass so no weight) the frame is twisted motor smashed tran and case split but axles and cage are usable

traitor ???

Would i be a traitor if i used the axles from a jeep . I know a v8 swap is ok (actually its the best) but the dana 28 sucks and its the cheapest way i have of a straight axle conversion (jeep axles are free from body shop) my basic plan is all time no $$ by using the axles and springs from a f150 ...

:mad2: my 88 b2 is runnin about 2000 rpm and wont run any lower the only thing ive done aside from body lift (yes i redid the ground strap) is a hiflow cone filter it ran good for a couple days then bam low idle is 2000 rpm what did i forget (stupid :flipoff: computers)

:redneck: i mysefl run the tsl bias 33 15.50 i like em in the cold they flat spot but smooth after they warm up (thats only 2 - 4 weeks a year ) as for golf balls no but the local rv shop set me up with a bag of some powder that balanced them perfectly so far 50000 miles and about 35% left

i used a set of springs from a 2001 f150 it gave me about 8 inches more if you want to go big just remember the drop down brackets i had to make custom all said and done springs/free from 4x shop brackets/ 6 hrs work and 50 in steel then 175 for alighnment then 250 for balanced front shaft 25 miles ...

:D job looks good , i did mine with a sheet of 20g front and rear , but have the rounded ends the hard one was the front as far as a spare try a rock mount for a jeep bumper it works well unless you chop the top then it sticks up too high i used a air gate (5th wheel) for a 85 chevy cut it down ...

yes you will need the drop brackets if you dont the front will vw and the front shaft wont fit it will hit the trans cross member if you got $550 check ebay for a complete 4 lift w shocks ( search bronco ii lift )

try a bumper fo ranger or if you cant find it try a new escape or ranger the front frame is still the same size,but holes are different

you can always cheat and goto advance adapters for your needs they might even be able to help with front axle as far as the rear lift the b2 install new axle where you want make sure its square then weld in the gaps with 3x3x1/4 square tube steel it worked on my ranger with dana 60 the front is a ...

if you live near a yard and know how to weld i suggest you try a front or rear shaft from an older toyota 4x pickup (75 to 85) the flanges are the same and the shafts are pretty strong mine works well :D
